Air Seeder Operator/General Farm Hand, Brookton WA (REF: 572786)

An Air Seeder Operator/General Farm Hand is required on a mixed property with a 2,500Ha cropping program and sheep located near Brookton, WA (155km south-east of Perth). Starting ASAP until late June. Machinery operation experience is essential. New Holland machinery.  Accommodation and vehicle available.  Potential permanent position for the right person. Strictly no smoking or vaping.

About the role:

• Starting ASAP until late June;
• Pre-seeding paddock preparation including stubble burning, rock picking;
• Operating the Air Seeder (day shift) - New Holland T9560 with GPS, Aus Plough 15m DBS bar and 9,000L bin;
• Other general duties such as fencing, paddock clean up, machinery maintenance and cleaning, filling seeder with truck, loader work, spreading available;
• Stock work available if desired; 2,000 Merino sheep + weaners - duties include feeding and yard work including drafting, drenching, marking.

About you:

• Experience with machinery operation and maintenance;
• Experience with livestock preferred;
• Experience operating an articulated loader
• Ability to work with technology;
• Ability to work independently;
• Ability to listen and follow instructions.
• Ability to drive a truck;
• Strictly non-smoker/vaper;
• Highly Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • HC Truck licence
  • Mechanical and welding skills

• Hourly rate: Good hourly rate dependent upon experience. 
• Hours: During seeding, 6 days a week; 12 hours per day;
