Fantastic opportunity! A family owned, 100% cropping enterprise is seeking a Senior Farm Hand/2IC to commence at their Pingrup farming property in Western Australia, starting ASAP. This role includes an opportunity to partake in all broadacre operations, workshop duties as well as general farm duties with an extensive range of farming machinery and equipment and in return the client are willing to offer a 3×2 home, work vehicle and a fantastic rate to the right candidate. Training & growth opportunities are available to develop your skills in the agricultural industry in a small & friendly community.

About the Role:

• Immediate start;
• Machinery operation: seeding, spraying, harvesting;
• Mechanical/Workshop skills: maintaining machinery and general repairs and workshop tasks;
• General Farm work as and when required;
• Size of team: 4-8.

About you:

• Agricultural experience with seeding, spraying and harvesting operations and the associated machinery is essential, however willing to train in some areas;
• Mechanically minded and experienced with machinery maintenance;
• Ability to work well within a team;
• Honest and reliable – knows when to report issues with gear etc;
• Non-smoker’s preferred;
• Manual C-Class driver’s license essential, working toward MC desirable.

What’s on offer:

• Great hourly rate of $35-$40+ on offer, depending on experience;
• Standard working hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with a 1 hour lunch break; additional hours during seeding & harvest;
• Accommodation provided: 3×2 farm house with a fenced backyard, air-conditioner and woodfire, including utilities (gas & electricity);
• Work vehicle & running costs;
• Meals included: During seeding & harvest (twice daily).
