Spray Operator/Farm Technician, Coorow WA

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced spray operator/farm technician to join a progressive farming enterprise with a 12,500Ha cropping program near Coorow, WA (280km north of Perth). The role will be tailored to suit particular skills and strengths. Immediate commencement available.  Accommodation and vehicle provided. This is a strictly non smoking property.  
 
About the Role:

• Operating and maintaining late model SP Sprayer (approx. 9 months of the year);
• Operating broadacre machinery for seeding and harvest;
• Maintenance of machinery;
• Cleaning and general farm duties as required;
• Working with an experienced, supportive and passionate team.

About You:

• Previous experience operating and maintaining a SP sprayer;
• Previous experience mixing chemicals and calculating ratios;
• Someone who enjoys working in an experienced team with good attention to detail;
• Manual C Class Driver’s License as a minimum;
• Non-smoker;
• Ability to learn new technology;
• Hard working and honest;
• Strong attention to detail and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

• Standard hours are 5 day weeks, 9hr days, longer weeks and hours; required during peak periods up to 7 days a week 12-14 hours a day. Some flexibility with relief operators in place;
