A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Livestock Hand has been created with a well-respected, mixed grain cropping, cattle & sheep, family-run enterprise. Located in the idyllic Esperance region, our client is looking for an experienced stockperson to assist in all aspects of animal husbandry, feeding out, shearing, crutching, and marking livestock as well as performing general farm hand duties and maintenance. Ideally you will have a good knowledge of stock husbandry and processes, be a non-smoker and be ready to start immediately. The client is offering a very generous annual salary, on farm accommodation including utilities as well as a work vehicle with running costs. About the Role:

  • Immediate start;
  • All aspects of animal husbandry;
  • Feeding livestock;
  • Assisting with shearing, crutching, calf marking and checking water;
  • General farm hand duties & maintenance;
  • Size of team: 8 in the livestock team.

About you:

  • Must be experienced with livestock (sheep or cattle);
  • Ability to work well in a team;
  • Honest and reliable – knows when to report issues with gear etc;
  • Preferably non-smoker;
  • C-Class drivers licence is essential.
