A new opportunity for an experienced Senior Broadacre Crop Farm Worker has become available on a family owned and operated 100% cropping property between Mingenew and Dongara, Western Australia.
 
Good Things to Know:

  • Family owned and operated 3,600ha cropping program (wheat, canola and lupins);
  • Located 40km East of Dongara and 400km North of Perth, WA;
  • Closest town (Mingenew) facilities include: primary and high schools, banks, supermarkets, post offices, sporting clubs and recreational centres;

  • Sponsorship options are available for the right candidate;
  • Good Telstra range with booster over 95% of the property. 

About the Role: 
Main duties will include the overseeing of:

  • Crop planting, cultivation and harvest;
  • Applying pesticides and other chemicals to crops;
  • The use of farming machinery, including the use of and maintenance of farming equipment;
  • Identifying maintenance needs of fencing and watering systems;
  • Supervising, training and inducting farm workers;
  • Arranging day to day operations in unison with the management;
  • Recording, collecting and analysis of data (rainfall, planting records etc).

About You: 

  • 3+ years of broadacre cropping experience;
  • Previous broadacre machinery and GPS experience;
  • Mechanically minded with welding and fabrication skills;
  • Strong initiative in completing day to day tasks;
  • Ability to work autonomously, unsupervised and have excellent interpersonal skills to work cohesively in a team environment;
  • Current manual driver’s license, HR desirable;
  • Preferably non-smoker. 

What’s on Offer:

  • Salary: $90-$110k, depending on skills and experience;
  • Base salary plus overtime paid;
  • Standard 50hr working week plus extra hours required over peak seasons (overtime paid at base rate);
