Our client is currently seeking to appoint a Machinery Operator/ Senior Farm Hand to join their team located in the stunning Southwest beach town of Esperance, WA. This position will be working alongside the farm owner and will assist with the coordination, operation and oversight of their 6,000Ha cropping enterprise. Experience in the operation of agricultural machinery preferred, however, willing to train if you have transferable skills. Attractive salary package and accommodation on offer.

About the Role:

  • Machinery operation, including spraying;
  • Day-to-day farming tasks as you would expect on a large cropping enterprise;
  • Growth position for someone who is willing to improve their skills in broad-acre farming: Training provided as necessary to improve skill set in broad-acre farming;
  • Assist and maintain quality control on a consistent basis, and particularly during peak operational periods;
  • Equipment and property maintenance;
  • Our client has a strict zero tolerance to drugs and alcohol in the workplace, therefore you can expect random testing to be carried out within the workplace.

About You:

  • Strong team player who will work harmoniously alongside others;
  • Previous experience in operating broadacre machinery;
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive workplace culture;
  • Desirable to have experience in, and understanding of modern farming;
  • Willingness to learn and the ability to contribute towards ongoing learning across the team;
  • Possess a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for farming.

What’s on Offer:

  • $100,000+ dependent on experience and accommodation needs;
  • Structured working hours to support work/life balance: 45 hours per week excluding seeding and harvest season where hours consist of 84 hours a week for 12 weeks of the year. Time in lieu available;
