Job Description

An experienced Machinery Operator, ideally with sound mechanical aptitude and truck licence, is required on a large family owned cropping property where they crop wheat, barley and canola. Located in Ravensthorpe, next to the Fitzgerald National Park with beaches only an hour away. MC license and previous mechanical maintenance & repairs experience advantageous.  Accommodation, utilities and vehicle included.

About the Role:

• Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all machinery;
• Operating machinery during seeding and harvest periods;
• Opportunity for upskilling;
• Occasional earthworks.

About You:

• Experience operating broadacre machinery;
• Have strong attention to detail;
• Sound mechanical aptitude;
• Ability to work unsupervised;
• Be able to come to the owner with a solution, not just the problem.
• Truck licence;
• Willing to upgrade to MC;
• Spraying experience (desirable);
• Staff management experience (advantageous);
• Team player with good communication skills;
• Self-motivated.

What’s on Offer:

• $40+ per hour, depending on experience;
• 5 days per week; 50 hours per week on an average week (hours increase during the busy seasons);
