Job Description

A full-time Machinery Operator/General Farm Hand is required for a mixed cropping property located near Frankland, and only 45km from Mt Barker in Western Australia. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, well-equipped team of four and take on a diverse range of farming and machinery operations. You’ll have access to top-tier equipment, a fully equipped workshop and systems in place to support the farm’s success.

About The Role:

• Broad machinery operation: harvester, chaser bin, spreaders, seeders, trucks;
• Hay/silage making, earthworks using loader and grader;
• Primary operator of a rogator self-propelled sprayer only one year old (approx. 400 hrs per year);
• Mixing spray tanks using batching stations;
• General farm duties including maintenance and workshop tasks;
• 5-day work week standard; 6 days during seeding and harvest periods.

About You:

• Skilled in operating farm machinery and sprayers;
• Confident in chemical handling, mixing and batching systems;
• Mechanical aptitude and workshop experience essential;
• HC licence highly regarded;
• Attention to detail, strong initiative and reliability;
• Must be a non-smoker and able to provide a Police Clearance if requested.
