Header Operator, Pingelly WA

Job Description

An experienced Header Operator is required for a family operated property with a 5,000ha cropping size in Pingelly, Western Australia (160km south-east of Perth).  Commencing ASAP until mid-December, you’ll be operating a John Deere S780 with a 40ft front and working in a team of 6.  Accommodation and dinner provided.

• Operating a John Deere S780 with a 40ft front;
• Working in a team of 6.

About you:

• Must have Header operating experience;
• Good understanding and experience with machinery maintenance;
• Able to work as part of a team;
• Willing to learn;
• Have a passion for farming;
• Smokers/vapers OK but not in paddock, machinery or accommodation.

What’s on offer:

• Hourly rate: $35-$40, depending on experience
• Hours: 12+ hours per day, 6 days a week
• Accommodation: single dongas with bathroom or shared workers cottage;
• Meals: Morning tea and dinner provided;
• Work vehicle available to go into town to get supplies.
