Job Description

A mixed cropping and cattle enterprise of 3,500Ha located in Ellendale, Western Australia is looking for a Senior Farm Hand to join their small team. Located only 35kms out of Geraldton, this position requires someone with an agricultural background, experienced in operating broadacre machinery and previous livestock experience is desirable to assist with cattle.  Must be honest and reliable, be to work well with others and have a minimum C-manual driver’s license.

About the Role:

• Start date: Flexible;
• Broadacre machinery operation: including seeding, harvesting, spraying and tractor operations;
• Machinery maintenance & workshop duties;
• Assisting with livestock (cattle): moving, animal husbandry, feeding etc;
• General farm duties;
• Size of team: Small team of 2 plus casuals;  

About you:

• Good experience with operating broadacre machinery;
• Previous cattle experience (desirable);
• Mechanically minded with previous machinery maintenance experience;
• Ability to work well within a small team;
• Honest and reliable – knows when to report issues with gear etc;
• C class driver’s license essential;
• Smokers OK;
