General Farm Hand / Truck Driver, Carnamah WA

Our client is a family-owned mixed cropping enterprise based in the Northern region of WA in Carnamah. They are seeking a General Farm Hand/Truck Driver for an immediate commencement to undertake a wide range of cropping and stock duties as well as truck driving for harvest periods. This role will suit someone with a minimum HR license, strong broadacre machinery operating skills and a passion for mixed crop farming. Located just 35km east of Carnamah, the client is offering fantastic accommodation options, a great hourly rate (dependent on skills and experience), as well as a work vehicle provided. Preferable no smokers and not open to sponsorship.

- Family owned 9,000Ha mixed cropping & sheep property;
- Crops include wheat, canola, barley, lupins & oats, approx. 4,500 sheep;
- Located 35km east of Carnamah town, 150km to Moora;
- Close to a vibrant small community with good amenities & local school;

About the Role:
- Truck driving during harvest;
- Operating broadacre machinery;
- General machinery maintenance;
- Livestock work: husbandry, water checks and feeding (sheep);
- General farm hand duties including fencing etc;
- Start date: Immediate commencement available.
About You:
- Previous experience in cropping operations;
- Experience operating broadacre machinery;
- Some livestock experience preferred;
- Good time management skills;
- HR license essential, MC truck license desirable;
- Ability to work & communicate in a team environment;
- Self-motivated and progressive attitude with high level of attention to detail;
- Ability to commit and adhere to safe work practices;
- Non-smoker preferred.
