Job Description
Our client, a family owned farm in the Newdegate area, are looking for a General Farm Hand to join their dynamic friendly team on their mixed property which consists of a cattle feedlot and large cropping program. This role would suit someone who is passionate about farming, particularly cattle feedlots and happy working in a rural environment. Competitive hourly rate and accommodation provided. About the role:
- Permanent role;
- Fun, friendly team;
- Feedlot operations;
- Preparing and feeding ration to cattle;
- Assist with a variety of day to day general farm hand duties, including fencing, stock work, hay
- Focus on cattle health and husbandry;
- Machinery operation (inc. tractor/telehandlers), potential to operate chaser bin during harvest.
About you:
- Love living and working on a farm;
- Genuine passion for the agricultural industry;
- Friendly positive team player;
- Cattle experience;
- Genuine care and compassion towards animals;
- Feedlot experience preferred;
- Previous experience operating machinery;
- Manual C-Class drivers licence essential.
