General Farm Hand/Machinery Operator, Kojonup WA

Job Description

A new and fast-growing agriculture company on behalf of a joint venture with Australian and International investors is seeking a General Farm Hand/Machinery Operator to commence immediately. Located in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, 30km south of Kojonup, this position requires a minimum of 2 years broadacre experience, sound machinery knowledge and ability to work well within a team. Accommodation suitable for singles, couples & families is on offer as well as a modern work ute, allowances and a generous salary.  This position is also open to juniors who are looking to upskill and potentially be placed through a trade apprenticeship. 
 
Good Things to know:

• 5,500Ha cropping program – Wheat, Barley, Canola, Beans, Vetch;
• Located 30km from Kojonup, WA;
• A primary & high school are available in Kojonup as well as groceries, sporting clubs, pubs etc;

About the Role:

• Immediate start;
• Operate broadacre machinery: headers, seeders, sprayers & chaser bins;
• Assist with livestock when required (sheep);
• General farm duties;
• Modern, well-maintained machinery;
• 8 perm plus casuals.

About you:

• Previous farming experience;
• Previous machinery operation experience: headers, seeders, tractors etc;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Honest and reliable – knows when to report issues with gear etc;
• Prefer non-smokers/vapers;
• Manual C license essential, HC desirable.
