General Farm Hand/Machinery Operator, Jerramungup WA

Job Description

An experienced General Farm Hand/Machinery Operator is required on a large cropping enterprise with a 11,000Ha cropping program located in Jerramungup, WA (4 hours from Perth). Accommodation suitable for singles, couples and families. Day and night shifts available during peak seasons. Sponsorship available for the right person.

 About the role: 

• Immediate start;
• Operating the header or chaser bin for harvest;
• Operate broadacre machinery: tractors, seeders, spreaders etc;
• Truck driving on-farm if licensed;
• Machinery maintenance & workshop assistance;
• General farm hand duties;
• Working in a team of 10.

 About you: 

• Experience with broadacre machinery: tractors, seeders, chaser bins, headers etc;
• Minimum 2yrs machinery operating experience;
• Ability to work well within a team
• Honest and reliable; 
• C-manual driver’s license essential;
• Non-smokers/vapers preferred.

What’s on offer:

• Hourly rate: $34-$38; depending on experience;
• Hours: Off peak: 8 hour days Monday-Friday; Peaks season: 12 hour day and night shifts, 6 days per week;
• Accommodation: Suitable for singles, couples or families;
• Work vehicle provided for work use.
