Job Description

An experienced General Farm Hand is required on an awesome family run farm near Dandaragan (only 180km north of Perth) in this all-rounder role. This is a mixed farming enterprise, cropping 2,000Ha and running 10,000 merino sheep. Accommodation and an attractive salary package is on offer.  You will have relevant skills and a farming background, with proven ability to work long hours when required.

About the role:

  • Commencing in June, however an earlier start date can be arranged;
  • Only 180km north of Perth!
  • Operating a variety of agricultural machinery and implements, such as sprayers, headers, air seeders, spreaders and other machinery on a 2,000 ha cropping program;
  • Mustering, drenching and drafting sheep;
  • Mechanical duties including maintenance of plant and equipment (experience desirable but not essential)

 Skills Required:

  • Experience operating broadacre machinery;
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude;
  • Be a team player along with the ability to work unsupervised;
  • Flexibility with seasonal work and work hours;
  • Knowledge of Autosteer/GPS systems desirable (can provide training);
  • Mechanical knowledge and ability to weld (desirable);
  • Previous experience in spraying, seeding and harvest (desirable);
  • Manual class c motor vehicle licence (essential);
  • HR truck license (or willingness to obtain) is desirable.
