Job Description

A full-time General Farm Hand is required on a 100% cropping property located 135km from Esperance near Cascade in Western Australia. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a family-run operation cropping 3,600ha of wheat, barley, and canola. You’ll work closely with the owner across all aspects of broadacre farming, and for the right person, there is a clear pathway to step into a more senior role with greater responsibility over time. This is an ideal role for someone looking to build a long-term career in agriculture with ongoing training and development. A September start is preferred but negotiable, and attractive conditions are on offer for the right person.

• Located 135km from Esperance, near Cascade WA;
• Cropping 3,600ha of wheat, barley and canola;
• Three adjoining farm blocks—no travel between farms;
• Team of two;
• Accommodation is a 3×2 house on farm (transportable, recently renovated);

About The Role:

• General farm hand duties across seeding, spreading, harvest and spraying;
• Tractor operation including chaser bin, seeder, spreader and header;
• Spraying work for those competent and experienced;
• Support day-to-day operations and seasonal activities;
• Opportunity to grow into a more senior, trusted role within the business;
• Mostly Case IH machinery used across the property.

About You:

• Tractor driving experience or strong farm background preferred;
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures essential;
• Open to training the right person with interest in farming;
• Looking to build a long-term career and take on more responsibility;
• C Class manual driver’s licence required;
• Positive attitude, reliability, and good work ethic are a must.
