Job Description

A family owned and operated 2,800ha mixed cropping & sheep property located in Kulin WA are seeking a new Farm Manager to commence early 2025. Fantastic opportunity to progress your agricultural career! Must have strong broadacre experience including machinery operations and workshop maintenance, livestock experience not necessary but would be an advantage. A generous salary is on offer for the right candidate along with a 4×1 house, a work vehicle as well as annual bonuses! No sponsorship options are available for this role.
 
Good Things to know:

• 2,500 cropping program: hay, cereals, canola & lupins;
• Approx. 1,000 sheep;
• Located in Kulin, WA – 280kms from Perth, WA and 1hr to Narrogin, WA;
• Kulin town facilities include: primary & high schools, post office, IGA, sports clubs, recreational & aquatics centre, police station, motels and taverns;
• Fantastic opportunity for training & progression.

About the Role:

• Start date: January 2025;
• Duties: Operate broadacre machinery for all aspects of crop production: seeding, spreading, harvest & spraying;
• Operating trucks;
• Some livestock assistance including sales when required;
• Machinery maintenance including workshop duties;
• Machinery: John Deere headers, Bourgalt seeders, Hydraboom sprayers, Greenstar GPS & Volvo trucks;
• Size of team: 2-3.

About you:

• Must be experienced with operating broadacre machinery including seeding, harvest & spraying;
• Previous experience with GPS systems is desirable;
• Mechanically minded & happy to assist with workshop duties;
• Ability to work in a team
• Honest and reliable – knows when to report issues with gear etc;
• Minimum HC driver’s license required;
• Must be non-smoker;
