An experienced Senior Farm Hand/2IC is required for a family run, cropping & sheep property, located in Williams, WA. They are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person who will join a happy and welcoming team of 6 within a great work environment, great infrastructure, and very modern equipment. The right candidate can will have at least 2 years’ experience in broadacre machinery operations, a passion for cropping and be interested in taking on a leadership position with the opportunity to train and supervise other staff members. This role also has the potential to develop into a management position down the track. Accommodation and a work vehicle will be provided as well as a fantastic starting salary package.  About the role

  • Immediate start;
  • Main duties: Assist Manager with day to day and cropping operations;
  • Machinery operations:  Tractor, truck driving, seeding, spraying, fertilizing and harvesting;
  • Machinery maintenance & workshop duties;
  • Machinery used: Goldacres sprayer, New Holland header, JCB Fastrac tractors & loadalls;
  • Supervision of staff & leading a team;
  • Opportunity for livestock work if desired.

 About You:

  • 2+ years experience in similar broadacre position;
  • Manual C license essential, HR license desirable;
  • Mechanically minded – capable of machinery maintenance, services & repairs;
  • Demonstrated ability to apply initiative;
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as autonomously;
  • GPS/Autosteer knowledge and tech savvy desirable;
  • Honest and easy going personality;
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude.
