HOW IT WORKS – EMPLOYERS:
🌱 1. PERMANENT RECRUITMENT – FULL SERVICE, END-TO-END
For long-term employment across agriculture – broadacre, livestock, agribusiness, dairy and stations.
- Register your permanent vacancy or contact our team to discuss your staffing needs;
- We manage advertising, screening, shortlisting, and referencing;
- You receive relevant, high-quality, pre-screened job seekers;
- We support you through the interview and offer process.
No upfront payment required – just expert recruitment tailored to your role.
💡 Ideal for permanent staff in broadacre, livestock, agri-business, dairy and stations.
🌾 2. SEASONAL RECRUITMENT – QUICK & EASY ADVERTISING
For short-term roles such as seeding, harvest and casual on-farm work.
- Register your job online;
- A clean, structured job listing is created and published by our ag-specialist recruiters, directly from the details you provide – no need to write an advert!
- Receive vetted applications directly to your User Profile and inbox;
- Once a candidate accepts your offer, an invoice of $695 plus GST will be issued per placement.
This flexible recruitment model allows employers to manage hiring directly, while Rural Enterprises manages the advertising, application review and candidate administration on your behalf.
💡 Ideal for farms needing seasonal labour during peak times.
Step-by-step guide to advertising your seasonal vacancy onto Rural Enterprises’ website:
- Simply register the details of your seasonal role. The more details you provide, the quicker your job advert can be created and the more likely you are to receive suitable applicants – details such as the type of work, hours required, makes/models of machinery they may operate, accommodation details, hourly rate range, meals provided (if any), local facilities etc.
- Once your account has been created, select “Advertise a Job” from the left hand menu.
- Once the job order has been received, Rural Enterprises will review your job and post it live onto the website. We like to get details listed online as quickly as possible so please provide all details to ensure there are no delays.
- Your name, address and contact details are not visible or provided to applicants for your privacy, so job seekers can not contact you directly.
- We review applications before they reach you, helping ensure candidates are relevant.
- When you do receive applications, you will have visibility of their name, contact details, CV, one to two relevant references and additional details about what they are looking for, as well as valuable recruiter notes and insights on the applicant.
- At this point, make contact with the applicant to discuss their suitability, reference check further if you deem appropriate, and offer them the role if suitable.
- It remains the employer’s responsibility to ensure employees have legal work rights in Australia. For added peace of mind, Rural Enterprises will conduct a work rights check on your behalf.
- You are welcome to peruse our seasonal Featured Candidates. Click “View Profile” to see their profile, however you will not see their name or contact details. If they look suitable, contact us directly – we will reach out to the job seeker free of charge and invite them to apply for your role. This option is only available to those who have a live advert.
Note:
- If you have multiple roles to fill that are similar, complete one advert. However if the roles are quite different, we prefer you complete an advert for each role.
- Contact suitable job applicants as soon as possible, as they are often actively job seeking and opportunities can move quickly.
- We cannot guarantee that the Job Seeker will accept a role with you.
- There are no replacement guarantees on seasonal placements, however we will reopen your advert and encourage further applications for your review.
- A return placement fee applies where a seasonal worker originally sourced through Rural Enterprises returns to your business in a future season.
