Machine Operator with Strong Mechanical Skills, Ravensthorpe WA

Job Description

An experienced Machine Operator with strong mechanical skills is required for a family owned 11,000Ha mixed property cropping wheat, barley and canola. Located in Ravensthorpe, next to the Fitzgerald National Park with beaches only an hour away. MC license and previous mechanical maintenance & repairs experience required.  Accommodation, utilities and vehicle included.

About the Role:

• Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all machinery;
• Operating machinery during seeding and harvest periods;
• Occasional earthworks.

Essential requirements:

• MC Truck licence (desirable);
• Experience operating broadacre machinery;
• Attention to detail;
• Strong mechanical skills required;
• Ability to work unsupervised;
• Be able to come to the owner with a solution not just the problem.

• Self-motivated.

What’s on Offer:

• $40+ per hour, depending on experience;
• 5 days per week; 50 hours per week on an average week (hours increase during the busy seasons);
• Accommodation: 3 x 1 renovated accommodation only 45km to town;
