Job Description

Our client, a family owned farm in the Newdegate area, are looking for a General Farm Hand to join their dynamic friendly team on their 7700ha mixed property, 8000 cattle feedlot, 4500ha cropping program.  This role would suit someone who is passionate about farming, particularly cattle feedlots and happy working in a rural environment. About the role:

• Permanent role;
• Fun, friendly team;
• Feedlot operations;
• Preparing and feeding ration to cattle;
• Assist with a variety of day to day general farm hand duties, including fencing, stock work, hay
• Focus on cattle health and husbandry;
• Machinery operation (inc. tractor/telehandlers), potential to operate chaser bin during harvest.

About you:

• Love living and working on a farm;
• Genuine passion for the agricultural industry;
• Friendly positive team player;
• Cattle experience with genuine care and compassion towards animals;
• Feedlot experience preferred;
• Previous experience operating machinery;
• Comfortable living in a remote location;
• Manual C-Class driver’s license essential;
• Smokers ok.
