Job Description

The Service Manager / Leading Hand is responsible for overseeing the service department, including workshop and field service operations, to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, supporting team productivity and customer satisfaction. The position also requires overseeing field service operations, ensuring that on-site repairs and maintenance are completed safely and effectively.

About the Role:

  • Start date: Immediate start;
  • Duties: Manage day-to-day service operations, scheduling and field service jobs;
  • Provide exceptional customer service & support;
  • Lead, mentor & train technicians;
  • Adhere to and maintain safety standards;
  • Ensure service vehicles are equipped, organised and comply with safety standards.

About you:

  • Must have strong technical experience in agricultural machinery, equipment, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs – both in the workshop and field settings;
  • Proven ability to lead, train and motivate a team;
  • Possess excellent customer service & communication skills;
  • Problem solving skills in resolving complex technical issues in varied settings;
  • Ability to work well in a team;
  • Proficient in service management software or similar systems;
  • Non-smoker preferred (not essential);
