Header Operator, Northampton WA

Job Description

An experienced Header Operator is required on a mixed farm with a 12,000Ha cropping program located near Northampton in the mid-west coast of Western Australia.  Starting at the beginning of November to the end of December, you’ll be operating a John Deere S790 with a 40ft front and working in a team of 9. Accommodation provided as well as dinner during the busy period.

About you:

• Must have previous Header operating experience – minimum of 2 seasons;
• Good English speaking and communication skills;
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently;
• Smokers/vapers OK (not in paddock, accommodation or machinery).

What’s on offer:

• Hourly rate: $36-$40, depending on experience;
• Hours: Up to 14 hours per day, 13-day fortnight (weather dependent);
• Accommodation: Self-contained ensuite rooms with shared kitchen and loungeroom;
• Meals: Dinner supplied during harvest only;
• Work vehicle available but prefer own car.
