Farm Hand, Dalwallinu WA

Job Description

An experienced farm hand is required on a family property with a 7,000Ha cropping size located in Dalwallinu, Western Australia. Starting from January/February 2025 until end of harvest, you’ll be working in a team of 4 and operating modern John Deere and Case machinery. Accommodation and work vehicle provided. Strictly non-smoking/vaping.

About the roles:

• Starting January/February until end of harvest;
• Machinery operations including seeding, spraying, harvest and tractors operations;
• Modern John Deere and Case equipment;
• Machinery maintenance & workshop assistance;
• General farm duties as required.

About you:

• Broadacre machinery operating experience;
• Previous crop farming knowledge & experience;
• Mechanical aptitude & previous maintenance experience;
• The ability to work well within a team environment;
• Good English speaking and communication skills;
• Strictly no-smoking/vaping.

What’s on offer:

• Hourly rate: $35
• Hours: 50 hours a week Monday – Friday. 12 hours+ per day; 6 days per week (Sundays off) during peak period;
• Accommodation: 2-bedroom brick house with 1-bathroom, new kitchen, laundry and air con, located 20mins out of town
• Meals: Lunch and dinner provided during peak periods;
• Work vehicle provided.
