SEASONAL CANDIDATES - updated 9th August 2017:

DARRYL, 24 years old, from UK, non smoker, single. Available after 20 December for the NZ season with flexible end date.  Happy to work anywhere in NZ.  Darryl will be returning to our Australian client for the second time for harvest and will be operating their JD header (40+ foot) with GPS.  Darryl has been operating farm and heavy loads vehicles since he was 16.  NH, JD, Claas.  Most recent permanent position was on 1700 acre arable property in UK where he was involved with cultivation (ploughing, pressing, topdress, sub soil, mole, power harrow), seeding, rolling, fertilising, combining, and chaser bin.  Excellent references.

JOHN, a cycling enthusiast, 66 years old, fit and healthy, holds an Australian road train truck licence (MC) and NZ HC licence with a clean driving record.  Looking for seasonal work in NZ for the September/October period.  He is flexible on location and happy on a machine or in a truck.  John has worked for Rural Enterprises' clients on two occasions now and has not let us down - both farmers have been extremely happy.  John has extensive HC experience and one season with road trains.  John is an ex-farmer having farmed mixed properties in both WA and QLD, very academic and excellent business acumen.  Currently a mature age student studying Molecular Genetics. The long hours are no problem.  John is a non drinker and non smoker.

LAWRENCE, 52 year old non-smoker, and his wife are looking for seasonal positions anywhere in New Zealand, with a preference to working in the South island as his daughter is living in Cromwell. Available from mid-August, and are flexible with when they finish. Lawrence has an open mind to what position he does, however enjoys operating mowers and square balers. He has experience operating rakes and making silage with JD round balers, hay with JD and New Holland round balers, and is more than willing to have a go at operating forage choppers and has experience with catching grass with tractor and trailer from a chopper. Both Lawrence and his wife have MC licences and experience including grain carting. His wife is also happy to drive trucks but would love to get involved in the livestock side of things as well. Lawrence was born and bred on a dairy farm in Victoria and then spent over twenty years working on a range of farming enterprises throughout Queensland. He is very mechanically minded with plenty of farming and truck driving experience. Great couple to talk to with great references.

CAMERON, 24 years old from Hawkes Bay, NZ.  Grew up on sheep and beef farm.  Available for the NZ season from late December until March where he will return to WA for the seeding season in April 2018. Flexible on any location within NZ and happy to operate any machinery.  Class 4 truck licence. Heavy Fabrication Engineer (level 4).  Gained experience in WA for seeding this year with our client and will be returning to them again for the harvest. Prior to his WA seeding experience, Cameron had done around 1000 hours in a tractor feeding out, topping, power harrowing, discing, general farm work in dairy farm.  Mechanically minded - eg, had racing car and did all the mechanics.  Great welding skills - eg, built a tractor trailer last year.  Great guy with great references.
